Winter operations intelligence

Winter operationsintelligence.

Weather is only the beginning. WinterOPS helps you understand what winter means for the actual operation — before, during and after the event — by connecting weather, property knowledge, recorded activity, human decisions and winter history.

Know what’s coming. Know what it means here. Know what’s happening. Know what happened. Know what deserves attention. Know what to do next.

How WinterOPS works

Four parts. One winter operating system.

The Hub is what you see. It is the smallest part of what is running underneath.

Winter Hub

See what matters.

The window onto a property — current advisory condition, weather, recorded service and open concerns.

WYN

Watches, interprets, recommends.

The WinterOPS intelligence that reads conditions against this property's operating reality and brings forward what changed.

WinterOPS Data

Remembers what happened.

Weather history, recorded service, inspections, materials and recurring attention areas — season after season.

People

Review, decide, act.

Every decision stays with your team. WinterOPS informs the call; it never makes it for you.

Watch the in-depth demo

A closer look at how WinterOPS works.

The shift

Winter should not reset to zero every storm.

A weather app tells you what is coming. WinterOPS helps you understand what it may mean here — before, during and after the event.

The old way

  • Checking multiple weather sites
  • Group texts and phone calls
  • Spreadsheets and paper notes
  • Relying on who remembers the trouble spots
  • Manually reminding people at the right time
  • Reactive follow-up after the complaint
  • Recurring problem areas rediscovered every winter

The WinterOPS way

  • One winter intelligence layer
  • WYN watching each property
  • Forecast, site, operations and history together
  • Intelligent reminders and recommendations
  • Exception management instead of watching everything
  • Persistent Winter Memory
  • An operation that learns season after season

Each property and each operation can develop its own winter intelligence — and every winter makes it sharper.

More than a Winter Hub

Winter Hub is what you see. WinterOPS is what makes it possible.

Underneath the page your team opens sits a connected operating record: weather intelligence, site knowledge, operating schedules, recorded service, inspections, materials, issues, historical patterns, WYN recommendations, reporting and renewal intelligence.

One winter intelligence, watching every property

WYN — the Winter Intelligence Navigator — watches changing weather, remembers how each property behaves, explains what deserves attention and learns from recorded outcomes. WYN recommends. People decide.

Winter Intelligence Layer

The four Hubs

The Hub is the window into the system

Each Hub answers one question for one audience — from a visitor standing at the entrance to a contractor watching an entire service territory. Behind each of them sits the same WYN, the same data and the same recorded history.

Public Hub

One property. One scan. Current winter awareness.

A public, phone-friendly page reached by scanning a code at the property. It turns recorded winter operations into appropriate, current visibility: advisory level, radar, the last recorded service, a short-term forecast and a caution notice — no app, no login, fewer status calls.

  • Advisory condition level with label, icon and colour
  • Radar and short-term forecast for the property
  • Last recorded service with timestamp
  • Report a Winter Concern
  • Public-safe payload only — no crew or private notes

Site Hub

The deeper view for the person responsible for one property.

An authenticated view for property managers and site admins. Current condition sits next to the forecast outlook, alongside the service timeline, open issues, zones and how fresh the underlying data is — so property teams and contractors can see the same picture.

  • Current condition next to forecast outlook
  • Weather and radar in property context
  • Recorded service timeline and open issues
  • Zones and priority areas
  • Data freshness tier on every reading

Multiple-Site Hub

Portfolio command for everyone watching many properties.

A command board across a portfolio: map markers by condition level, counts per state, sorting by where attention is needed, filters by region or relationship, and open concerns surfaced in one place.

  • Map with condition markers per site
  • Portfolio counts by advisory level
  • Sort by where attention is needed
  • Filter by region, portfolio or relationship
  • Open concerns rolled up across sites

Contractor Hub

See where winter risk is developing across serviced properties.

The operating view for contractors and TDE crews: which serviced properties are trending toward attention, what the last recorded action was, when the next review is due, what is open, and where data has gone stale. Customer Hub visibility helps reduce status calls and preserve trust.

  • Attention queue across serviced properties
  • Last recorded action per site
  • Next review time
  • Open issues and reported concerns
  • Data-limited sites flagged explicitly
Smart Winter Caution Engine

Advisory levels you can explain, line by line

The engine is deterministic: stated rules run against recorded inputs to produce an advisory condition level with a timestamp. It describes winter awareness — it does not make judgements about a property's condition beyond what was recorded.

Current vs forecast, kept separate

What conditions look like right now is presented apart from what the forecast suggests, so the two are never blurred into a single number.

Refreeze detection

Melt-then-drop patterns and falling surface temperatures raise the advisory level in the window they apply to.

Precipitation-type awareness

Snow, freezing rain and rain-to-freeze transitions are treated differently — each shifts the advisory in its own way.

Stale data becomes Data Limited

When readings age out, the Hub says so. An old reading is never re-presented as current reassurance.

Human verification and overrides

An authorised reviewer can temporarily raise or lower an advisory with a reason and an expiry, and the change is recorded.

Explainable and deterministic

Every advisory level is produced by stated rules against recorded inputs, and each snapshot is kept for later review.

Who WinterOPS is for

Three pathways into the same winter intelligence layer

Property and facility intelligence, contractor intelligence, and — as the platform extends — public works and mobility. Each is scoped to what the organisation is authorised to see.

Contractors come and go

The property keeps its memory

A contractor relationship can change. The property does not have to start over. Weather history, Winter Hub identity, site knowledge, approved service history, material history, recurring attention areas, reports and renewal intelligence stay with the property. The more winters recorded, the less the operation depends on memory and guesswork.

Authorisation is explicit. A new contractor is granted the access the property owner approves — a previous contractor’s private notes, pricing and internal records are not transferred with it.

Winter memory

Every winter makes your operation smarter.

Every event adds structured history. One winter creates useful data; several winters reveal recurring patterns. Scope, staffing and quotes can be built on what actually happened instead of what anyone remembers — and repeated trouble areas become less surprising because they are remembered and surfaced earlier.

WinterOPS observation

“Overnight refreeze generated a meaningful portion of post-storm activity at this property.”

What the record answers

What actually happened this winter?

What should we plan for next winter?

  • Site winter summary and season summary
  • Event reports for individual storms
  • Portfolio summary across authorised sites
  • Material usage and multi-year trends
  • Renewal intelligence built from recorded history

Summaries describe recorded activity and observed conditions. They do not assess whether a property was safe.

Both sides of the winter relationship

Intelligence that helps you buy well — and sell well

WYN supports the commercial work around winter service. Recommendations are drafted from recorded information; people review, decide and act.

Contractor commercial intelligence

Beyond operations, WYN helps contractors keep the commercial side moving on real information.

  • Surface good-fit opportunities
  • Research prospects and property context
  • Remember follow-up that would otherwise slip
  • Identify missing assessment information
  • Support quotes and renewals with recorded history

Drafts are prepared for review. Nothing is sent, awarded or signed automatically.

Property procurement intelligence

Property and facility teams can use their own operating history when buying winter service.

  • Prepare winter requirements from what actually happened
  • Prepare RFP and bid information
  • Compare contractor proposals side by side
  • Identify missing scope and exclusions
  • Prepare renewal questions

People select the contractor. WinterOPS organises the evidence; it does not pick a winner.

One platform philosophy

Winter should not reset to zero every storm

The same idea holds at a single property, across a contractor's book of work, and — as the platform extends — across public infrastructure.

For properties

Contractors may change. Your property doesn't have to forget.

Every event becomes property memory. Weather history, site knowledge, approved service records and recurring attention areas stay with the property.

For contractors

Your team doesn't have to remember everything. WYN remembers.

Every property carries its own operating history, hot spots and material record into the next event.

For municipalities

Every storm becomes institutional winter memory.

Designed to extend: recorded activity across corridors and facilities becomes learnable pattern. Platform direction, not a feature today.

Proving ground

TDE on the ground. WinterOPS behind it.

TDE is the first proving ground for real winter operations — crews, equipment and recorded work on live properties. WinterOPS is the intelligence, technology and memory layer; Winter Hub is the visible property experience.

WinterOPS MobilityBeta vision · designed to extend

From the property line to the road ahead.

Winter intelligence should not stop at the edge of a parking lot. WinterOPS is designed to extend the same learning intelligence model to roads, bridges, sidewalks, transit corridors, public facilities and municipal crews.

Municipalities already generate an enormous amount of winter information. Today much of it is fragmented across systems, radios, spreadsheets and individual memory. WinterOPS Mobility is designed to organise it into a learning winter intelligence layer.

Public reports, traffic behaviour and verified municipal data can eventually add further signals. Every storm becomes institutional winter memory. Every plow pass becomes history. Every recurring problem becomes a pattern that can be learned.

Vision · planned partner integrations

Closing the information loop with navigation and public mobility

Over time, verified municipal road information could be exchanged with navigation and public-mobility ecosystems — platforms such as Waze and Google Maps — through supported partner integrations. That would help connect the municipality, its crews, the roads, public reports, traffic behaviour and navigation platforms.

No navigation-platform integration exists today, and WinterOPS does not control any navigation provider’s routing. This is planned direction only.

Public decision support

  • Plow priority review
  • Transit & bus decisions
  • School-bus planning
  • Closures
  • Work-from-home advisories
  • Public communication
  • Emergency corridor awareness

Not autonomous government. Better-informed people.

WinterOPS organises information and offers recommendations. Public-works professionals make every decision. The platform does not determine whether a road or facility is safe.

Built for trust

Recorded, timestamped, and honest about what it does not know

WinterOPS.ai documents what was observed and what was reported. Timestamped service, verification and history create a clearer timeline when an incident needs to be reviewed. It does not draw conclusions about liability or compliance, and it never presents an aging reading as current reassurance.

Timestamped service records

Recorded visits carry their own time, place and author — as reported by the crew. Together with verification and history, they create a clearer timeline when an incident needs to be reviewed.

Auditable snapshots

Weather readings and advisory levels are retained as snapshots that can be reviewed later.

Public-safe payloads

The Public Hub receives only what is meant to be public. Private notes and crew detail stay internal.

Role-based views

Contractors, site owners, technicians and viewers each see the surface that matches their role.

Honest about gaps

Missing or aging data is labelled Data Limited rather than smoothed over.

Cautious wording by design

Advisory language only. Conditions can change, and the Hub says so.

WinterOPS.ai provides advisory winter information based on recorded data and reported activity. Conditions can change between updates, and the platform does not determine whether a site is safe.
